CAWG BioBlitz
Help us understand more about the biodiversity found within our watershed and learn about wildlife ID in the process!
Our crew will be set up at the Circle of Peace to help you get started. This is a drop-in event, join in anytime between 10:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
What is a BioBlitz?
A BioBlitz is a community event to find and identify many species in a specific area within a set time.
How does it work?
- Download iNaturalist: Get the free app on your phone and create an account!
- Start Observing: Take photos of plants, animals, and fungi you find. Be sure to take clear photos at many angles.
- Upload Observations: Upload your photos to iNaturalist. Add details like location and time.
- Identify Species: Try to identify what you’ve found. iNaturalist’s community and AI can help if you’re unsure.
