Announcing CAWG's 3rd Annual Striped Bass Fishing Derby!
July 24th, 2026, 8pm to 11pm at the North River Causeway
The Cornwall and Area Watershed Group (CAWG) is excited to invite anglers and all community members to its 3rd Annual Striped Bass Fishing Derby, taking place from 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Friday, July 24th, 2026, on North River. The registration hub will be located at the North River Causeway.
Prizes will be awarded for the biggest catch in both adult and teen divisions. Registrations and catch submissions will again be handled via the free FishDonkey app. Participants are encouraged to download and familiarize themselves with the app in advance.
This year’s Striped Bass Fishing Derby prizes are donated by Going Fishing, Eskape Anglers, Richard's Bait and Tackle, Spartan Industrial Marine, and Princess Auto. Cash sponsors include Maritime Electric.
Total cost to participate in the derby is $15 for adults (ages 17 and up), and $10 for teens (ages 12 to 16). All are welcome. For more information, visit our event page on Facebook, or email info@cawgpei.com.
